There’s no better time than summer to enjoy live music in Montreal. While some concerts aren’t cheap, there are also many free options. The benefits are far reaching – improve both your mood and your health with the right tunes.

Major Festivals

While expensive, you’ll get a vast variety of music to choose from with multiple stages at major festivals. Try out Ile Sonique in Parc Jean-Drapeau! It’s great for electronica lovers. Check it out from August 9th -10th. There’s also the classic of Osheaga for all things indie and rock! Osheaga runs from August 2nd – 4th. Both of these festivals carry a hefty price tag, but they are a classic Montreal concert experience.

Free Concerts:

Try out MUTEK from August 20th – 25th for creative explorations in electronica and visual art. Some sessions are free and outdoors!

The Montreal Orchestra presents free music in the Olympic Park and other spots across the city. Classical music is relaxing and a great way to spend some time outdoors. Take a look at the schedule.
