We hope you have been enjoying your summer. We are writing to inform you of a recent change to the Keep.meSAFE by guard.me program that you may have been utilizing to support your wellbeing. 

On July 31st, the “My SSP” app, which you may be using to connect with counsellors and access valuable resources, was renamed to the “TELUS Health Student Support” app. The app’s icon or “tile” was also updated to reflect this change. 

But don’t worry – if you currently have the My SSP app installed on your device, you will not need to do anything. The app will automatically update in the background to become the TELUS Health Student Support app, maintaining all its current functionalities. 

The Keep.meSAFE program will continue to provide you with the same excellent, confidential, and solutions-focused counselling that you have come to rely on. Our multilingual, culturally sensitive, and gender-inclusive support remains available at any time of day or night. 

To recap, here's how you can still reach us: 
  1. Chat with a counsellor from the newly named TELUS Health Student Support app. 
  2. Call us directly at 1.844.451.9700.
  3. Visit keepmesafe.org for more information. 

The transition to TELUS Health Student Support does not affect the way the program works or the resources it offers. We are committed to supporting you in the same way we always have, helping you navigate school, health, and general life concerns at no cost to you.
