As a result of a referendum conducted in March 2017, during which continuing education students voted in favor of introducing a student Health & Dental plan, MACES is implementing a comprehensive package of health and dental benefits available for its members to fill the gaps left by provincial or international health care coverages.
How much does it cost?
Featured benefits include prescription drugs, vaccinations, eye exam, eyeglasses & contact lenses, laser eye surgery, psychologist, various health practitioners, dental and travel.


Change-of-Coverage and Opt-Out
The MACES Health & Dental Plan would give you the option to enroll your spouse and/or dependent children by completing an enrolment process and paying an additional fee, over and above your fee as a student.

All opt outs or coverage changes can be completed online at www.studentcare.ca/maces.
All students who are members of MACES and register in September or in January in credit courses for minimum 3 or more credits, are automatically covered by the plan. International students for whom this criteria applies would be eligible for dental coverage only. Certain exceptions may apply to sponsored students, students in credit programs that are shorter than 7 weeks, and long-term non-credit students.
